How to factory reset windows 10
Timeouts are incredibly useful in light of the Microsoft Edge performance refresh. While it helps maintain a good page-loading experience that took a huge hit in Edge, it also attracts a fair share of grief. I’ve seen the complaining get increasingly worse every day.
While it’s great to have the option to refresh any page you so choose, there are times when it’s nigh impossible to navigate around a page and quickly “escape” it without interrupting your experience. This isn’t the first time in the last couple of months that Microsoft has tried to alleviate this issue by providing visual fixes like Force Delete or pressing CTRL + Y to select a site.
But after factoring this reaction into our typing error sensitivity, is there another way to improve the user experience? Yes, but it’s far more mundane than the previous two, to be frank.
Factory Reset
We all know the drill; you return to your desktop, open up the taskbar and click on Settings. There you’ll find the Device Maintenance menu and click on the toggle next to General (another menu item) and Scroll Down. Next, click on Device Refresh. I recommend you select the Advanced page that lets you compare the user experience before and after the factory reset.
Now, you’ll be presented with the following page. Inside of a small window, just below the Microsoft Edge icon, select Factory Reset and click on the toggle next to “Performance”. Now, let’s roll this one back in the archive. To switch between all the windows as you see fit, you’ll also have to select the Operators tab. You’ll also have to jump into an Admin tab if you don’t like Microsoft’s Default user accounts (in case you’re the user profile).
In the next step, you can enable Surface Release mode, where the cursor will drop out of your cursor, never to return. You can also enable the Aero Sketcher mode, whereby the mouse and keyboard will appear in a final-touch style and avoid endless scrolling within a particular webpage. Finally, you can add a privacy icon to your notification bar. I like the privacy icon on my notification bar and I think Windows 10 makes it an issue that you can’t ignore even in a small amount of time.
As you’re making your changes, we all know Microsoft’s preference for testing out new changes on their own devices rather than to the general public. If you’ve been enjoying your Windows 10 laptop and desktop, this just means you have a better chance of reaching your full “human” potential. Just like the engineering team at Microsoft, you have to do your best, even if it means putting some compromises in your machine.
However, I always like to give the Windows 10OS treatment to all of my machines. Because Windows 10 is not Windows 10 in full use, I can now keep in touch with my hubby when I’m browsing the web. If you want to take your personalized Windows 10 machine experience to another level and make the leap to Windows 10 smartphones and PCs, then I highly recommend signing up for a complimentary trial of Windows 10 Home in the Windows Store.
Finally, you can also head to the region that you usually use to install Windows 10 (excluding the rebranded Windows 10 Enterprise) if you’re already in the Store.
Now, you should have a Windows 10 application running on your computer. You’re all set to come into a new day full of great insight and actionable instructions on how to use your new computer effectively.
If you have any other questions or just want to head over to this blog to learn about personalized Windows 10-based performance.
If you’ve yet to figure out where to go to the Windows 10 store to begin your Windows 10 journey, I strongly suggest you visit the Microsoft Store Now that you’ve set up your new computer, go through and connect to your Microsoft 365 Domain.
Here, you’ll find the settings page and find out all the cool features of your Microsoft 365 home that you can enjoy (will also give you peace of mind in case you end up encountering a small-scale update on your new machine!).
I will be switching to a new machine and found the above guide incredible and a welcomed new feature for my Windows 10 machine. With my experience now trickling in, I think we’re entering a new era of personalized Windows 10 performance, where the speedy interface will give all of us the best user experience.
